先週末、植物園のBIG盆栽ショーの一環で、お習字デモ（ミニ・レッスン）をしましたが、そのお礼にと、このかわいい盆栽をいただきました。Schefflera （シェフレラ・フカノキ）という木で、うちにも大きい鉢植えのありますが、そのBabyちゃんです。Rocky Mountain Bonsai Society会長のパトリックさんは、「もし、ダメにしちゃっても、気を悪くしないでいいから」と言っておられましたが、がんばって育てたいと思います。
Last weekend after I made Shodo (Japanese calligraphy) demonstration (& mini-class) at the Botanic gardens for the big Bonsai Fair, Patrick, the president of Rocky Mountain Bonsai Society, gave me this little cute Bonsai. This tree is called Schefflera, and we have a big potted one at home. This is a cute baby plant. Patrick told me "Don't feel bad if you kill them," but I will try my best to take care of this baby.
