竜巻警報、ヒョウ、大雷雨という悪天候の中（ヒョウがバンバン屋根に当たる音がスゴかった）・・・無事、大盛況に今日のコロラド州沖縄県人会四十周年記念祝賀会が終わりました！感謝です。During our Colorado Okinawa Kenjinkai 40th anniversary event today, we had tornado warning, hailstones, and big thunderstorm (very noisy and scary). Despite the terrible weather, we had a great turnout and the event was successful. Thank you!

I was very sad when I was leaving there. 山から下りて4日。版画工房で作業中は、髪振り乱して身なりとかに構っていられませんでしたが、下界ではもうちょっと気ぃつけます…♪  He is shy and wants to hide this interview video, but it's already publicly posted. 池田誉インタビュービデオ(^^♪5/30/2014  I was back in town two days ago. I made ten different print pieces with the same plate. Those look VERY different. I had so much fun to make all the different prints. Now, I am going back to a normal life...it may take time..??
山の版画工房から下りてきました。お山の版画工房では、ひとつの版を使って10パターンの版画を作りましたが、それぞれがとても違って見えます。ひとつひとつの工程が本当に楽しかったのです。と、いうわけで…これからまた日常生活に戻るのに、ちょっと時間かかりそう。  右下の作品が、白黒オリジナル。それに色をつけたり、絵を加えたりして、バリエーションをつけています。
このシリーズの仮タイトルは「石器時代TV」。 We made more variations of the original black & white print piece. Tentative (or could be permanent) title of this series is "Stone-age TV."  Variations of the yesterday's black&white print piece. The left one has two layers. I first made a watercolor monotype, then made a print out of the plate on top of the watercolor monotype. It took at least two hours to prepare before running through the printing press. 昨日の特大版画のバリエーションを二点刷りました。左側の作品は、最初に水彩版画を作ってからその上に重ねて刷ったのですが、それぞれプレス機で 刷る前に少なくとも2時間はかかるのです。時間が経つのがあっという間。
 I thought it would take at least three days...but with BIG help, it's done today!! The one I am holding is the small print ("Barbie" size) I carved yesterday, and the one on the wall is the gigantic size fresh from the printing press. Now my arms, especially right arm, are useless, so I have to make them rest. 最低でも三日かかると思った特大サイズ版画が、工房の方の多大なるご協力により、一日で完成しました！！写真で、私が持っているのが、昨日作ったベビー版（バービーちゃんサイズ）、壁に貼ってあるのがさっき版を完成して刷った特大版。両腕（特に右手）が今、ほとんど使い物にならないので、明日までお休み〜。  A series of my watercolor prints I made yesterday. Making watercolor prints is really a fun...and I will make a BIG piece (about 1m x 1.2m) in the next few days~!
水彩版画に初挑戦。水彩版画はホントに面白い！今日は、大小合わせて十点くらいの版画を作った。そして、これからリノカットの特大版画 （1m×1.2m くらい）を作ることになった。彫刻刀で刻み続けて、既に右手中指にマメが。 |
